Aromas include roasted agave, citrus, and hints of smoke, with occasional notes of corn or tropical fruit. Flavors often feature agave sweetness balanced by pepper, citrus, and earthy or mineral notes. The finish is usually short. Overall, the spirit is considered a good value, versatile for cocktails or sipping, and a decent entry-level mezcal.

Oscar Morales Garcia represents the fourth generation mezcaleros from both his mother and father’s sides of the family. Using a recipe developed by his late father Don Lucio Morales López, Oscar produces a beautiful, easy-drinking mezcal that is true to San Dionisio Ocotepec and its traditions.
