Menetou-Salon is an appellation near (but distinctly different from) Sancerre and Pouilly Fume in the Loire Valley in France, and is famous for its limestone soils that produce sauvignon blancs that are crisp and refreshing but have a unique mineral quality. Jean Tellier is a small producer known for his lovely Menetou-Salon sauvignon blanc that shows nice peach flavors and a lingering limestone finish.
