The star of the show is Grenache, which sees whole cluster carbonic maceration for a week before starting punch downs twice a day. That is added to a rose of two other Rhone varietals, Mourvèdre and Cinsault from Lodi. Everything gets blended together, to create a light and fresh red wine with subtle acidity, and rosey lift to brighten up the wine. The bruised purple-fruit qualities of the Grenache are reminiscent of cherry-cola, with hints of pink peppercorn, and freshly picked blackberries.
60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault
12.5% ABV, 20 ppm SO2 added at bottling
