It's a 1.5 ha grand cru site of 60-100-year-old ungrafted vines on blue-gray slate and red iron oxide producing a wine of purity and elegance. Full of juicy, ripe apple, pear, white peach, marmalade, and the tiniest hint of petrol. This is off dry but so well balanced. It's an absolute stunner; a reason we should all be drinking Riesling.
